on Local Classifieds.
Do I have to pay to post an
ad?All posts are free. Local Classifieds is completely free. This
includes both posting an ad and replying to an ad. You will not be charged if
your item sells through a posting on Local Classifieds.
How do I post an ad?Posting is easy. Simply follow the
instructions below:
1/ Click "Post Ad" at the top of all Local Classifieds
pages.
2/ Chose a category.
3/ Enter a title, price if applicable(enter as amount only,
no £ sign), and
a detailed description.
(You also have the option of uploading up your photos and/or videos and
entering your address)
4/ Then enter your email address and click the "Post
Your Ad" button.
5/ Finally, check your email for a message from Local
Classifieds. Click the "Post Confirmation" link in that email and your ad will
appear on the site.
What are the posting
rules?1/ No duplicate ads
We only allow one ad for a particular
item/ job/ flat etc per day. Please do not post the same ad more than once on a
particular day either in the same category or across multiple categories. Any
duplicate ads will be removed.
2/ Post in the correct category
Please
post in the correct category as it helps both posters in reaching the right
audience with their ad and helps the users looking for something to find what
they want.
3/ No links to other classified/ property/ dating/ job
websites
Please do not put a link in your posting to an ad on another
website.
Local Classifieds reserves the right to remove any postings
that we feel are not relevant, or of value to the Local Classifieds
community, with or without notice.
How can I include images
/ videos in my ad?1/ Images
When you are on the "Post Ad" or
"Edit Ad" page, click the "Browse..." button which appears under the Images
heading. Select the picture file from your computer's hard disk and click "OK".
The picture will then be uploaded and attached to your Ad. You can add upto three
pictures using the same process. Remember a picture is worth a thousand words
!
2/ Videos
When you are on the "Post Ad" or "Edit Ad" page, enter the
YouTube embed code of your video. The video will then appear automatically in your ad.
Remember a video is worth ten thousand words !
Aaargh ! My location is not available?Don't panic, we can easily add it for you. Simply use the Contact link on the left of this page, and email us with a request to add your location. Don't forget to tell us where you are and we will add the nearest major town to you.
How can I
edit, repost or delete my ad from the site?If you are a registered
user, then you can edit or delete your ad from your manager. If you aren't a
registered user, find your "Posting Confirmation" email from Local Classified. This email
will have links to edit or delete your ad.
How long do ads
last on the site?Ads are automatically removed from the site 60 days
after being posted.
I have been a victim of a scam/ I
suspect a scam what should I do?Report it to us so that we can take
a look and take appropriate action. If you have been a victim of a scam we also
encourage you to report it to the Police.
What should I do
if I see an ad that I think is spam, offensive, miscategorized or
illegal?If you see an ad which you think is illegal, prohibited or
otherwise a bad fit for the Local Classifieds, please report it by clicking
one of the "Reporting this ad" links. Illegal Ads can also be reported by
contacting us using the "Report illegal/infringing ad".
